Nearly ten years ago I became interested in the gap between the leadership and career development needs of senior executives and professionals (£150k + level) and what coaches, mentors, trainers, outplacement providers, head-hunters and organisations – all were providing. With a background over fifteen years mainly on the business side of film, television and publishing I observed talented people, particularly in sport and the arts, being “well managed” by managers treating them as businesses. I believed some, if not all, of these processes were transferable to the executive arena. So, I developed a model to manage careers as micro-businesses and jobs as joint ventures and launched a service to deliver it. Since then I have worked with hundreds of senior executives and professionals and many organisations. You can read some of their FEEDBACK.
